Use PTFE tape or liquid thread sealant on the male threads. Do not overtighten — hand-tighten plus 1/4 turn maximum.
If your model includes an anti-rotation tab, secure it to a fixed point. Never let the body rotate freely with the shaft.
Use flexible hoses to avoid side-loading the rotary joint. Install a filter (40 micron or finer) upstream to protect the seal.
Run at low pressure (0.2 MPa) and low speed for 5 minutes without load. Check for leaks, then gradually increase to operating conditions.
